Launch of Club for New Masons

At a memorable event at the Masonic Hall in Hereford, on 30th January 2020, the new club for Herefordshire Light Blues was launched, in front of around 60 members and guests.

The club is called ‘The Caeruleum Club’ (Latin for light blue) and is especially for those members of Herefordshire Lodges who have yet to achieve Provincial rank, with the aim to ‘socialise, learn, and represent the views of the future generations of Freemasons’.

The evening began with the inaugural AGM, which was addressed by the Club Chairman, Bro Tommy Santillo, the President, Bro Chris Barrett, and Patron, the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Michael Holland. The club constitution was formally signed, and then the club ties, specially designed by W Bro Geoff Wilding, were presented to the Patron, Vice Patrons and offered to the members.

Following a complementary glass of prosecco at the bar, an excellent dinner was served. There was entertainment from comedian and magician Paul Ray, and a raffle with some very generous prizes, which raised £530 for club funds. In addition the Club received start-up funding of £500 from the Province, as well as generous individual donations from W Bros John Pudge, Tony Body and others.
