Eastnor Lodge2Lodge

In May 2019 Freemasons from Eastnor Lodge 751 in Ledbury, Herefordshire rode their bicycles along the 150 mile Coast to Coast route from Whitehaven to Sunderland. Their efforts were rewarded by raising over £6,000 for Robocap, Haven Breast Cancer and MCF charities.

After a year off, the lure of lycra was too much and they’re at it again but this time they’re staying a little more local. Not ones to keep to the orthodox this time the bikes included a tandem and a Brompton!

On 8th June 2021 members of Eastnor Lodge set off again on their bikes on a 100 mile route around the county. The team raising money that will be divided equally between three local Ledbury Charities.

Ledbury Food Bank – Providing food & support to families in need from Ledbury & the surrounding area

Community in Action Group – Working to improve the lives of the elderly, disabled & other vulnerable people living in & around Ledbury, providing transport services for everyday living & healthcare needs

Deer Park Play Area Group – Working to replace a local children’s playground with new & safe equipment

The 2021 route took the team from Ledbury to Bromyard, Leominster, Kington and Hay on Wye. After an overnight rest they will continued on to Hereford and Ross on Wye before returning to Ledbury where they were met by the Deputy Grand Master Graham King.
