Eastnor Lodge members cycle coast to coast for charity

Four members of Eastnor Lodge have completed the Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge in aid of three local charities. This is a demanding route of 135 miles, to be covered in three days, starting in Whitehaven, Cumbria and ending in Sunderland, taking in the Lake District, Eden Valley, the Pennines and Northumbria on the way. they followed the tradition on the route of dipping their tyres in the Irish Sea at the start, and the North Sea at the end.

The four members of the Lodge to complete this challenge were Stuart Jones, Charlie Heritage, David Sparrey and Nick Humphrey, who are shown in the photos below, and congratulations to them on this great achievement.

The charities benefiting equally from this effort are Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford, which supports women throughout their cancer treatment; the Robocap 2 appeal, which supports the early diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer; and the Province’s 2020 Festival in aid of the Masonic Samaritan Fund, now the Masonic Charitable Foundation.

So far they have raised more than £5,000. They have a Just Giving page which is still open for further donations. You can visit the page, and make a donation, at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/eastnorc2cchallenge
